Animation and all its glory!
Okay so this week has been a lot of work days and screening. Except that day when Ms. Licata was not there. That was just a free day, so to speak. I clicked the animation button in Cheetah to render the first 10 sec. of my animation and it took the whole class and the rest of the day. Even after all that, when I tried to play it the screen was blank. Graham said that if I saved and played it "somewhere else" that it would work. I do not actually know what that means. So I am still trying to work the bugs out of that. On top of that, the skeleton tool is still not working for me and it is giving me a little bit of a headache. I guess I just have to keep plugging at it until it works. Still can not believe that rendering the first 10 seconds takes the whole day! My goodness! No wonder it takes years for movies with special affects or 3d movies in general to come out. All I can say about this course is that it is a very humbling course and now have a new found respect for animators of every media. Even the creators of Looney Toons have me in awe. A good thing about this week is we get to screen movies and get to look at these movies with a different perspective and a different attitude.
